- TypeScript strict, simple by design — built for one user (my daughter) before it was built for anyone else.
- AI SDK + Vercel AI Gateway — the model plays the teacher, walking through math and spelling without giving the answer away.
- Voice-led interaction patterns for a kid who reads but doesn't type fast yet.
- Local persistence for progress tracking — no account required, no data leaves the device.
- Built for my daughter, which sets the bar: if it's not patient, encouraging, and honest about wrong answers, it doesn't ship.
